Marie “Rie” Meriwether Godsey and her husband, Eddie, started MG as a catering business in 1980. Then, in 1985, they realized that they could offer something the large dining services operators could not – the hands-on attention which elevates fine dining restaurants. So today, we’ve built a business around living up to that standard of personal attention and excellence.

That is because we forge a strong working relationship with every account. We serve every meal with tremendous pride and accountability and understand our responsibility to model wellness and good nutrition through what we offer and how we serve it. Today, most of our customers (and daily meals) are in this market, which means all of our systems, research and development, quality assurance, and support are oriented to schools and achieving the highest performance standards in that setting.
