Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Training

As part of TABS’ deep commitment to student safety, TABS is pleased to offer member schools and their employees a two-hour live virtual introductory training on sexual misconduct prevention and response during the 2021–2022 school year.

TABS has engaged RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, to design and facilitate a training tailored specially for faculty and staff working with students in residential learning environments.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

RAINN’s approach is grounded in core principles: victim-centered, trauma-informed, and fair and equitable. The following topics will be included:

  • Understanding the foundations and complexities of sexual misconduct.
  • Understanding trauma and its impact on survivors.
  • Identifying and reinforcing healthy boundaries.
  • Understanding trauma-informed responses.

ABOUT RAINN

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE, online.rainn.org and rainn.org/es) in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
