Lisa RoethlingDirector of Counseling at The Hill School. LPC, LAT, ACS
Ms. Roethling has served as the Director of Counseling since 2018, moving from Europe for the opportunity to start a clinical program model for The Hill School. This model includes clinicians providing individual and family psychotherapy, crisis intervention, triage, and short-term group therapy to students. She is passionate about her work with students and enjoys opportunities to consult with faculty, staff, and student organizations whenever possible. She also enjoys teaching and providing training on several topics that impact adolescent development. Her areas of specialty in counseling range from treating anxiety/depression, substance abuse, eating disordered behaviors, and other addictive behaviors. She has 15 years of experience working in residential and school-based settings. Before working at The Hill, she was the worldwide director of clinical services for Army-DODEA Adolescent Support and Counseling Services. This program was in seven countries, plus Hawaii, and covered a footprint of 19 schools.
