DESCRIPTION:Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander students comprise significant portions of boarding school student populations, and yet the nuanced histories of this diverse group are rarely unpacked in mainstream media and curricula.\nAmid the rise of anti-Asian violence across the continent, this session will examine the dominant stereotypes surrounding this group and their harmful impact on our students and communities. Together, we will explore the experiences of Asian American students and unpack a set of action steps to improve representation and inclusion within the complex residential learning environment.\n
